The list of ITMO’s partner universities can be found via this link.
NB! When filing your application, please use your @niuitmo.ru email.
Application documents:
After you complete the required sections in your application, make sure to submit it before the deadline. You will receive a notification that your application has been successfully submitted in your inbox.
After you send the application, you will be informed by ITMO’s International Office regarding your chances to be nominated for an exchange program at the university of your choice.
If successful, you will then need to confirm your choice and add the list of courses you are planning to take to your application in ISU so that the head of your educational program can review them before approving your nomination.
The International Office nominates successful candidates (i.e., forwards their data to their host university of choice), after which they receive an email from their host university’s study coordinator with detailed instructions on how to complete their application.
After receiving all your documents, your host university will send you an invitation letter indicating the exact dates of your exchange period. You will need to indicate the dates of your exchange and upload your invitation letter to the Acceptance Letter section in your application in ISU.
Complete the following steps in the Учебные документы / Study Documents section of your application in ISU:
NB! Since your documents need to be approved and adjusted, you need to promptly fill in this section of your application and obtain the required documents.
Without the final package of approved documents, you can’t proceed with your exchange semester at the host university.
Once your documents are approved, you will be able to download your request for admission. The request needs to be printed and signed.
Once signed, it should be once again uploaded to your application in ISU. Don’t forget to add a request for financial aid from ITMO if you study tuition-free and received no “satisfactory” grades for the semester before your exchange semester.
Don’t forget to upload a high-definition photo of your ticket in the Прибытие в вуз-партнер / Arrival to the Host University section, namely Подгрузка штампа о пересечении границы / Upload a border-crossing stamp. You’ll also need to sign the confirmation of arrival and upload it to the Подгрузка подтверждения о прибытии / Confirmation of Arrival section. The confirmation is requested by the International Office and then sent to you to be attached to your application in ISU.
There is a chance that the courses listed in your explanatory note will change. Within the first two months of your studies at the host university, you can report these changes in the section Во время мобильности / During mobility. To do so, you need to specify the new courses and how they correspond to the core courses in your note. Don’t forget to send the updated documents for approval to the head of your educational program and the Office for Support of Educational Programs. If no changes are made, click the Не обновлять / No update button.
As your exchange studies come to an end, upload the following documents to your application in the section После мобильности / After Mobility in ISU:
When you return to St. Petersburg, you will need to bring the original documents to the International Office.
When the coordinators of your host university send you your complete transcript of records, upload it to your application in ISU (the Transcript of Records section) and fill out the section about the courses taken. You’ll also need to send the document to your faculty and the head of your educational program.
If your courses have changed during your exchange semester, you will need to add the corresponding changes to the Обновленные учебные документы / Updated study documents section of your application.
