Do what you love!

If you’re looking to stand out and show off your talents, ITMO is the place for you! Our students lead active lives and take part in determining the university’s course of development together with our staff, professors and researchers. There are plenty of creative clubs: from gamedev and quiz clubs to fire dancing and stand-up.

ITMO University also organizes field trips and sports games for the students; at the end of each academic year, the fastest, strongest and most agile students come together for the “Spring at ITMO” festival to test their mettle, compete in tournaments, demonstrate their skills and sit by the bonfire.

If you feel like your calling is to help others – join ITMO University’s Volunteer Center. This team of young and enthusiastic students takes part in events both small and large, including the likes of World Festival of Youth and Students and FIFA World Cup.

Welcome to Russia: Being an international student at ITMO University is easy! Adapting to life in a new country can be difficult, which is why our International Students’ Council is always here to help. We organize many wonderful events for international students: festivals of national cuisine and cultures, and celebrations of national holidays, Nowruz, Chinese New Year, and many more. International students can join the Russian language speaking club if they wish to learn the language faster. Our focus is on strengthening the connection between people of all countries and nations, and the events are open for everyone. The International Students’ Council will always hear out your questions, suggestions and ideas.
