Study Abroad at Home

Do you want to go on exchange but are afraid to take a leap into the big unknown? Don’t worry – ITMO’s international students are assisted each step of the way, including through a variety of student support programs operating at the university.

Study Abroad at Home is one of these programs. Within its framework, international students from all over the world (your future classmates come from France, Germany, South Korea, Taiwan, Finland, Mexico, the Czech Republic, and lots of other countries!) study side by side with their Russian counterparts, seeing each other through exams and assignments and experiencing the joys of the learning process together. 

Other advantages of Study Abroad at Home include:

• classes are held in English, including some by native speakers;
• an international team;
• module educational system;
• an official certificate of completion.

But these are not all of the program’s perks! To make the learning process as effective as possible, each course is practice-oriented, which means that students will be offered to work on their projects and bring their ideas to life during their studies.

Interested in participating? Here’s what you need to do

• be an ITMO University student
• have an academic or professional interest in at least one of the courses on offer
• have B1 or higher level of English language proficiency (no certificate is required)
• fill out the application form
• take part in a ZOOM interview held in English
• get notification of the enrollment from the organizers

Useful information

• application deadline is January 30, 2022 at 23:59 (GMT+3)
• the interview is held in English via ZOOM and will take 15 minutes
• each course can accept a limited number of students.

All courses start in February 2022 at ITMO on Lomonosova St. 9.
